  Message from the Founder

  As a surgeon, who has been in the field for almost 30 years, I have experienced several exhilarating highs of saving people from the jaws of death. But, like all other surgeons, I have had my share of crushing failures. ‘Every surgeon carries within himself a small cemetery, where from time to time he goes to pray – a place of bitterness and regret, where he must look for an explanation for his failures.’ René Leriche, La philosophie de la chirurgie, 1951 had famously said. One such patient left such an impression on me that I was determined to change neuro-oncology practice for the better by improving the accuracy of tissue biopsy in all those who require surgery and to eliminate the need for an invasive procedure and replace it with a liquid biopsy - or a simple blood test.

  Message from the Co-Founder

  I am a mechanical engineer and a serial entrepreneur. Have designed equipment for off-shore oil rigs and as an entrepreneur built successful software solutions for cyber forensics and digital courtrooms. However, despite of all this I am petrified of being a surgical patient and want to avoid it at all costs. For someone to drill a hole in my head and stick a needle in my brain is unthinkable. If you are like me, and fear operations, you will identify with Exsegen - reducing the tribulations of an operation to a simple blood test!!

  As a Supply Chain leader with over 20 years of experience, I have always been focused on operational excellence and delivering impactful results. My father’s experience with brain cancer led me to search for meaningful ways to make a difference in the field of cancer research. When I met with Amit and Surya, and learned about their vision for liquid biopsy technology, it inspired me to make a significant shift in my professional path. Today, as a co-founder of Exsegen Genomics, I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of our technology and streamlining clinical trials to ultimately design non-invasive diagnostic solutions for brain cancer. I believe that using cutting-edge technology and efficient systems can bring about a future where there is more hope and less fear for brain cancer patients.
